Billing, But Make It Automated (with AI)

Description

To improve the speed and accuracy of monthly billing processes, a custom automation tool was developed using JavaScript and Visual Basic, with AI tools supporting the build. ChatGPT, Claude, and Cursor were used to prototype functions, resolve bugs, and optimize scripts throughout development. 

The tool replaced a heavily manual process with a more efficient, automated workflow. It includes a built-in duplicate-checking mechanism and a structured manual review step, ensuring data integrity, compliance, and confidence in every billing cycle.
 

Use Cases and Workflow 

Each month, raw billing data is uploaded into the automation tool. The system runs a series of checks for duplicate entries and data consistency using predefined logic and scripts. After automated processing, any flagged items are manually reviewed for accuracy before final submission. This hybrid setup combines the speed of automation with the oversight of human verification. 

Results
